Nuno Cernadas was born in Porto, in 1988. He began his studding of piano with 5 years old. At the age of eight, he was admitted to the Music Conservatory of Porto, where he was pupil of Professors Constantin Sandu and Fátima Travanca, having concluded the Complementary Course of Piano, with distintion.
In June 2006, at the Commercial Athenaeum of Porto, he made his opening as soloist with the Orchestra of the Music Conservatory of Porto under the supervision of teacher Kamen Goleminov, probably in the national opening of the work of Franz Liszt "Malédiction", for piano and strings.
He was awarded in diverse national competitions of Piano, namely the 4th National Competition of Piano of Ourém (2nd Prize), 4th Iberian Competition of the Alto Minho (2nd Prize), and "Marília Rocha" (1st Prize and Best Imposed Part).
He entered several Master-Classes of famous professors such as Serghei Covalenco, Miguel Borges Coelho, Paul Badura-Skoda, Boris Berman, Sequeira Costa, Vitaly Margulis, Solomon Mikowsky, Homero Francesch and Dina Yoffé.
In 2007 he was a Harmos Festival's participant representing Porto Superior School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE).
In 2008/2009, with Erasmus program, Nuno went to Liszt Academy of Music from Budapest, where he studied with Prof. István Gulyás.
Nowadays he's studying at the Porto Superior School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE) in the class of Professor Constantin Sandu.
