Tormo García, Joan
Born in Valencia (Spain), in 1988. He began his studies at the School of Music in Picaña and at the Conservatory Picaña Silla, in Valencia, where he was received classes of the Professor Francisco Valero. Subsequently, performed Intermediate in the Conservatory of Music of Torrente, with the teacher Eduardo Ventura. He earned the top vacancy of access to the Conservatory of Music in Valencia, where he studied with the Professor José Cerveró. He has taken several music courses with Rafael Albert Soler, Enrique Pérez, Fabrizio Meloni, Johannes Peitz, Javier Balaguer and Alain Damiens, and he has participated in master classes with Josep Fuster and Joan Enric Lluna. He has also performed chamber music courses with the Quintet Cuesta. On the other hand, he received a grant by the company Fermax Systems, Inc. of Picaña.
Since the academic year 2011-2012 is an alumnus of the School of Music Reina Sofia, in the Chair of Clarinet with the Head Professor Michel Arrignon. In June 2012 he received from Her Majesty the Queen, the Mention as Outstanding Student of her chair. Enjoys a Tuition Scholarship Albéniz Foundation.
He has won the VII Vincent Galbis Award, granted by the City Council and the Conservatory of Torrente, after performing as a soloist with the Orchestra.
For two years, was soloist of clarinet of the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of Torrente. Later, he became member of the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Valencia, the Joven Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana and the Più Forte Quintet.
As a student of the School, is part of Sony Chamber Orchestra, directed by Maximiano Valdes, and the Freixenet Symphony, under the baton of Pablo González.
Since November 2011, playing a clarinet "Buffet Crampon" model "Green Line", donated by the Fundación Albéniz.
