Penêda, Renato

Renato began his musical studies at "Conservatório de Músicado Porto" at the age of 14. Later, he went on to study at "Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo" (ESMAE). He is currently an exchange student at "Codarts, Hogeschoolvoor de Kunsten" under the Erasmus programme. He has attended several master classes with teachers such as Nick Woud, Frank Epstein, Benoît Cambreling, Mark Ford, Markus Leoson and Tatiana Koleva. He is a member of "Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa" and plays regularly with "Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música" and "Orquestra Gulbenkian". He has been selected for the 2012/2013 season of "Orquesta Joven de la Sinfónica de Galicia" and the NJO Winter Tour 2013, and he has been recently accepted in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Codarts Academy. In 2012, he won the 2nd prize with Pulsat in "Prémio Jovens Músicos" - 26th Edition, chamber music category - superior level.

Nuno began his studies in 1999 at "Conservatório de Música de Aveiro - Calouste Gulbenkian". Later, he studied at "Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho" (EPME) and "Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo" (ESMAE), from where he graduated in 2009. He has been awarded prizes in several competitions, most notably: 1st prize in the 2nd Iberian Snare Drum Contest "Tum-pa-Tum-pa", category C (2006); 3rd prize in "Prémio Jovens Músicos" - 21st edition, percussion category - superior level (2007); 1st prize in "Prémio Jovens Músicos" - 24th edition, percussion category - superior level (2010). With Pulsat, he took home the 2nd prize in "Prémio Jovens Músicos" - 26th edition, chamber music category - superior level (2012). He has performed as a soloist with "Orquestra Gulbenkian" and "Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa". He is currently a member of Pulsat Percussion Group and percussionist with "Orquestra Sinfónicado Porto Casa da Música".

Pulsat Percussion Group

Pulsat Percussion Group is a percussion group created in March 2012. The Pulsat challenged composers Daniel Bernardes, Igor Silva, João Pacheco, Jorge Paulo Perfect Presents and in the creation of works for percussion quartet based on themes from traditional and popular Portuguese music, a contemporary musical orgy. It is a bold concert, which is underscored by numerous premieres of Portuguese composers, a true ode to Portuguese music.

Dias, André

André began his musical studies at the age of 8. He studied at "Academia de Música de Espinho" (AME) from 2003 to 2006 and later at "Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho" (EPME) from 2006 to 2009. He is currently studying with Miquel Bernat, Manuel Campos and Nuno Aroso at ESMAE - Porto. He has been awarded several prizes: merit scholarship at AME and EPME, 2nd prize in "Days of Percussion - Fermo" (Italy - 2007) on snare drum solo, 2nd prize in "Prémio Jovens Músicos" - 24th edition, percussion category - superior level (2010), 1st prize in "Helena Sá e Costa Prize" (2011) and 2nd prize in "Prémio Jovens Músicos" - 27th edition, chamber music category - superior level (2012), with Pulsat. He is principal percussionist in "Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa" and works regularly with "Drumming-GP", "Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música" and "Orquestra Gulbenkian".

Góis, Pedro

Pedro began studying music at the age of 8. He was admitted in "Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho" (EPME) in 2004 and in "Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo" (ESMAE) in 2007, where he worked with Manuel Campos, Miquel Bernat, Nuno Aroso and Rui Gomes. He attended several masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians, such as Jeffery Davis, Pedro Carneiro, Rainer Seegers and many others. He has collaborated with the following ensembles and orchestras: "Orquestra Gulbenkian", "Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música", "Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa", "Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa", "Ictus Ensemble", "Drumming-GP", "Orquestra do Algarve", "Orquestra Utópica", "Orquestra Clássica de Espinho", "Orquestra Sinfonieta" (ESMAE), "Orquestra APROART" and "Orquestra Clássica da Póvoa de Varzim". He is now a member of Pulsat Percussion Group, which won the 2nd prize in "Prémio Jovens Músicos" - 27th edition, chamber music category - superior level, in 2012.
