Akanè was born in Japan and began to study the piano at the age of 5. In 1984 she entered the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome, where she studied with F. Di Cesare and she graduated cum laude at the age of 19. She persued her studies at "Arts Academy"in Rome and then at "Incontri col Maestro" Piano Academy in Imola with G. Valentini, F. Scala, B. Petrushansky, L. Margarius, R. Risaliti and obtained the diploma in 2001.
In 2004 she achieved her piano Specialization Degree with Top Grades at "Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia" in the class of Sergio Perticaroli.
She partecipated in Masterclasses of K. Bogino, J. Rouvier (Nice International Music Academy), G. Wilson, L. Lortie, C. Rosen, Fou Ts'ong and she completed her studies in Chamber Music with Tchaikovskij Piano Trio and R. Brengola at "Accademia Chigiana" in Siena, where she won a scholarship to take part in the "Holland Moonbeach Festival".
She has performed as soloist in most important halls in Italy (Rome, Torino, Prato, Potenza, Bologna, Piacenza, Milano, Venezia, etc.)and abroad (France, Canada, Japan, Chile ); and meanwhile she persued he carrer in duo, trio and piano quartet. She collaborated with "Alter ego" ensemble and she's a member of Monesis Ensemble, the both specialezed in contemporary music.
She won several 1st prizes in International Piano Competitions: "Città di Valentino", "Premio Schumann", "Gorgni"; 2nd prizes: "Premio Lucus" (no 1st prizes winner), "Anemos" (no 1st prize winner), "Rendano" (also a special prize for the best "Adagio" by Mozart).
In 2003 she won the 2° prize (no 1° prize winner) at "Claudio Arrau International Piano Competition" in Chile.
